Director of International News, ABC News

Kirit Radia is the Director of International News at ABC News. He oversees the network's daily coverage of events around the globe, including recently the war in Ukraine and America's withdrawal from Afghanistan. 

Previously, he was ABC News' Moscow correspondent from 2012 until 2015. During that time, he covered Vladimir Putin's return to the presidency and the surrounding protest movement, the Maidan protests in Ukraine, and the shootdown of flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine. He reported exclusively on increased harassment of US embassy staff in Moscow and profiled families and children affected by Russia's decision to halt adoptions to the United States. He chased a giant meteorite that fell in Siberia and questioned the parents of the Boston Marathon bomber in Dagestan.

Prior to that Kirit was ABC News' State Department Reporter. In that capacity he covered American foreign policy and national security. He was the first to report on the National Intelligence Estimate on Iran's nuclear program and broke news about increasing US sanctions on Iran.

Kirit has reported from over 30 countries. Originally from New Jersey, he is a graduate of Tufts University's International Relations Program.
